First aid steps for heart attack: A heart attack occurs when the blood flow that carries oxygen to the heart is blocked. The heart muscle becomes starved for oxygen and begins to die. Following few steps may help.

Ø   Do not allow the person to walk as it will strain the heart.

Ø   Have the person sit down, rest, and try to keep him calm.

Ø   If the person uses and has Tab. Sorbitrate (nitroglycerin) place one tablet under the tongue.

Ø   Loosen clothing around the neck, chest, and waist.

Ø   Quickly rush the person to hospital since the maximum death takes place within the first hour.
