Understand Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome is a combination of medical disorders that, when occurring together, increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes. If you have got any three of them, you have got metabolic syndrome. The five risk factors are:

 

Ø   High blood pressure (hypertension).

Ø   High triglycerides.

Ø   Low HDL (Good Cholesterol).

Ø   Obesity.

Ø   High fasting blood sugar.
